Every since a friend of mine recommended Tatte Bakery to me (pronounced like 'latte' with a 'T'), I was dying to not only try their food, but also to see their beautiful chandelier in person.
*note: i believe the Brookline location does not have this chandelier... you're welcome.

Portobello Mushroom Sandwich
Oven roasted portobello, tomato confit, watercress and herbed goat cheese on whole wheat bread

I am by no means a vegetarian but there's something about a portobello mushroom, goat cheese combination that I can't deny. Paired with a chai tea latte, it was warm and hearty brunch on a cold and rainy day.

Green & Nutty Salad
Fresh cut lettuce, baby arugula, sliced apples, black sesame, soy bean, dried apricot,
roasted pumpkin and sunflower seeds in an orange vinegar dressing topped with goat cheese

Tatte's food was fresh, their bread warm, and pastries divine. The best part was, they have every single type of brioche your heart could wish for, from savory - pesto, tomato, ricotta - to sweet - chocolate rose. If carbs are your jam, Tatte is definitely calling your name.
