row 34, boston.

383 Congress St.
Boston, MA 02210

Row 34 is located in the Seaport District of Boston and is known for their oysters & beer. One of my girlfriends, who is a fellow seafood lover, did her research before coming up to visit and introduced me to this great restaurant. The high ceilings, exposed beams, and lighting fixtures added an industrial touch, making me feel like I was in a docking area about to eat something that came straight off the fishing boat.

Smoked Uni Toast

Since I had slurped down a dozen oysters earlier in the day, I decided to go with the smoked uni toast from the raw bar. The toast was a perfect portion size and helped to balance the richness of the smoked uni.
if you are an uni fan, this little dish is a must try!

Crispy Oysters w/ Black Pepper Aioli

Besides your traditional sushi and raw bar items, my favorite seafood dish is fried oysters. There's something about how the warm crispy batter tastes with the softer texture of the oysters that makes me never want to eat anything else again. I've been to places where the batter overpowers the taste of the oyster but these did not disappoint. Row 34's "Crispy Oysters" were cooked in a light batter that really was crispy! My new favorite discovery was actually the Black Pepper Aioli that I ordered on the side.

Shrimp Slider

Lately, I have been on a huge seafood kick. Maybe it's the sporadic sunny days, or maybe it's my new and improved "active" (loosely used) lifestyle... you be the judge. If anyone is in the area and is craving some oysters, let me know because I definitely want to go back here soon!
